you can Thank Madeline for introducing me to your Great Music! Madeline and I worked together for the St. Printer for several Years. I still work there and hope to continue until I retire. Both Madeline and I share a love for music and have it in our blood. I married a musician (drummer) who up until a few years ago played with Johnny Lewis Swing band and a few others. All 3 of our kids either make a living either performing or teaching music. My middle son www.nickmolenda.com is currently teaching Percussion at University of WA. He also is the Drummer for Carson & Tess Henley - links on his website. Our daughter Deanna also has a beautiful voice and has performed w/ local Theater Groups since she was 9yrs. She's now 17yrs and got a Great Resume. She plans to attend University of WA for a Theater/Music Degree. Has hopes of NY and Broadway...will see! Anyway, We'd love to attend one of your show's. Hi Melina,
Just wanted to drop you a note with a short story. My family & I were at the mall in Oly. getting some phone stuff arranged for my husband. My daughter (8) & I caught up with my husband & son at a kiosk where they'd sent him. A band was playing(sound check)& so we went to check it out. You came up after them a were doing your own sound check. I immediately fell in love with your voice & wished we had time to stay & listen. We didn't. But your CD's were out over at the side so I bought one & have been listening ever since. Did I mention thoroughly enjoying listening? Each time I hear a song I find new things in it. I love how you write & then express it. Beautiful. Thank you. Probably my favorite is "Ruby". Such a departure from the rest but yet it grabbed me & held on tight! So fun to sing along. The rest are all finding their place in my life one song at a time. Smooth, easy, jazzy, bluesy, folksy, fun & real. All rolled into to you. Wow!! I am always impressed by pure talent. I hope you go as far in the music world as you'd like to. It's a tough business. Wishing you all the best.

Agree with Donna's comment below: People should catch Melina while they can, before we are all (quite willingly, mind you) paying to see her at expensive venues, which we certainly will be.

We just heard Melina last night quite by accident in the Hunt Club in Seattle. This little powerhouse has the most amazingly pure voice! What a joy to be in her presence. Watch out for this one - she will go far. And get to one of her intimate live performances right away... before you have to pay $70 to see her at the Paramount some day. :)

Actually- I really did like your rap- I still heard your goofiness especially at the end of the rap, I could just picture the face you would have been making at the time.

I just "discovered" you at the concert at SoulFoods in Redmond; will be making a point of seeing you play again. You have a marvelous voice made simultaneously sweet and raw by emotion, passion and soul. You wear a smile that shows you love what you are doing, but I think I detect a hint of pain there, sometimes.
